The world's oldest lamp left on for 109 years and still illuminates the room until now.
It’s called “The Centennial Bulb”, installed in the Office of Fire extinguisher in California.
This lamp was a gift given by a local businessman for the fire department.
This lamp is produced by the Shelby Electric Company.
The lamp with 4 watt carbon has become a record in the Guinness Book of record and beat the previous record of the lamp in the Texas Theater.
Standard lamp typically lasts for 750-1000 hours on, whereas modern lamps are now resistant to 10,000 hours of light.
